!Avila!

Pictures, etc.

...from Avila.
Avila is a splendid city with Europe's best-preserved medeival walls. There are eighty-eight turrets in the wall
and we got to walk a good portion of the perimeter of the city. We also stayed here one night in a Parador.
What's a Parador? This is a Spanish government-run hotel (there are many in the country) which is located in a key
or special building. In Avila, the Parador is in a 16th-century castle. They are always top, 4-star accomodations.
We'd recommend them to anyone traveling in Spain.

This was a carnival day and a little devil was posing here!
