...from Salamanca.
Salamanca is a University town which is only about 1 hour east of the Portugese border.
It is called "little Rome" or "The Rome of Spain" because of its heavy Roman influence.
It's a great city to walk through as it is very compact. It has a gorgeous "Plaza Mayor" or
central square, which is spectacularly lit up at night.
